All kinds of things have been happening with summer coming to an end and college starting up.
SCHOOL
Well, school started about two weeks ago. Man, did those weeks fly by. The fall semester started up with the usual WTF? moment of the year. Last year, on the first day of class, it poured cats and dogs all morning. Ha! This time I was prepared with my handy umbrella, yet nothing like that happened. So, two days later, I wake up from my roommate rummaging about to get ready for his Physical Training. (He's in ROTC) I wake up a few hours later and things do not seem right. I find out that the electricity is off. Most of the campus was effected and my residence hall happened to be one of the places. Thankfully, it was restored before my first class.
Yep, I'm suck at the dorms again this year. However, I do not have the same roommate; I'm not even on the same floor. My room is located near the center of the floor by the elevators, which sucks because I feel obligated to keep my door open when I'm not doing anything important. Several guys on the floor stop by our room and I'm definitely not used to it.
My roommate is a pretty nice guy. Kind of a "ladies man." He's always talking about girls he thinks are hot and who he wants to hook up with. I don't mind it, but when he talks about how "easy" the girl maybe, I just want to bust out LuAnn[ and set him straight..-er. He and his buddies play Halo 2 A LOT and think it is the greatest game ever. I just laugh to myself when they say that and when they make such a big deal about being killed by "noobs." They think they're so "pro." XD I may get pissed when I die in Gunz: The Duel, but I never consider myself "pro."
(That's right. I don't like Halo or Halo 2. It's just another FPS to me.)
Classes:
My classes are going fine. I do not like my Biology class, though. It has a 3 hour lab paired with it. =/ Freaking hate that lab. I have 5 classes and 4 labs this semester amounting to 16 credit hours. My classes a spread out in the week too, which makes it difficult to get a job.
OTHER EXCITING NEWS
Speaking of a job, I managed to speak with that landscaper I keep talking about. Her line of work is pretty specialized and time based. Her work can be seen all around town and they maintain most of it. Since time is money in her business, I'll have to do tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. It seems stressful, but I think I could handle it. We agreed that I wait another 4 weeks to get settled in with school. She believes school is my first job and wants me to do well. If I can't handle the work load, she said I should try back in the spring.
COBALT HAS A CHARACTER SHEET NOW! (How's that for a subject change?)
My beloved
He spoils me so much.
With school under way, I'm not sure if I'll be able to work on any art/writings. I have not been in the mood lately to work on them.
That's all for now!
P.S. Happy Labor Day for those in the U.S. and Canada!
